A wonderful Indian (Tamil) restaurant with exceptional flavors. We ordered the veg tahli with 4 curries and they were all excellent. It came with rice, rialti and several breads. We couldn’t stop eating it. We also ordered the shrimp and okra dish in a tamarind sauce that had a lot of shrimp and was also excellent. We also ordered extra bread to sop up the great sauces. It took a bit of time but was sooo good with the sauces!! We had cycled from gray creek and were very hungry but ended our day sooo happy!!

Hands down, best restaurant in Nelson! My partner and I brought her parents who grew up in the Indian Food Capital of the UK (Leicester) to Tamil for the first time, and they were absolutely amazed at how delicious the food was. This was by far the best South Indian food we've had. We will be back!

We were in Nelson for a family trip and decided to try this place since it had Kottu which is a Sri Lankan dish. We were delighted the lamb kottu we got had all the flavors we needed and was very filling. They have a bar with decent drink menu as well. Good clean atmosphere with friendly staff.

We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner here. The prices were very reasonable (at least by our American standards). Every course was creative and flavorful. The waitstaff were a bit overwhelmed but very polite. The space is tastefully decorated, too. I would definitely come back.

The experience was excellent from the time we walked in until the time we burped out. Upon entering, I asked the waiter what time it was. He immediately replied, "It's time for lunch!" And he was right! The decor was very nice and it was obvious a lot of thought went into it. All our questions were answered in a way so that we chose the exact entree that we wanted. I had the Chicken Saanal. OMFG. It was so good. We were given more than enough time to savor the food. And I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the waiter in giving us another bottle of chilled water. Excellent waiter, food, and atmosphere. Burp!

We had an excellent meal here! What a wonderful surprise to find such an authentic South Indian restaurant in the Kootenays! The dosa, veggie thali and chai were fresh and the flavours were balanced. The decor of the restaurant is so beautiful, and the service was fantastic. We really had a great dining experience overall! Can't wait to come back.

We ate here for the first time and we found the food delicious. We had the Eggplant, butter chicken, lamb & kozhi kulambu served with rice and we ordered the parotta bread which was flaky and hot. It was all very good. The staff were good but it took the food awhile to get to us but I think it cause everyone came in about the same time. We were seated right away. Prices were reasonable for a dinner menu. Street parking available. Free after 5 pm.

This is the best restaurant in Nelson. I've enjoyed every meal I've had here, always tasty and unique flavors and fair value for money. We are lucky to have such a restaurant in a small town. I recommend trying their Tamil dishes versus the standard kormas, butter chicken, etc that is the more standard Indian fare most Canadians are used to ordering. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable portions. Order a few curries to share! The family that owns the place are also great and do a lot for the community. Check out the market around the corner as well!
